![]() | Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM Pros: I think it has a value / price ratio. Excellent sharpness, color rendition and quality construction. Cons: The only cons is psychological. It is the fear of an exemplary peck flawed. Opinion: After a few months of use I would say that I'm excited about this lens. I had already tried the tamron 17-50 2.8 smooth (made in china) and the sigma 17-70 2.8 to 4, and I can say that in my opinion there is a gulf between the lens in question and the two above-mentioned . The optical quality is exceptional: crystal clear already at RT, even if it is from F.4 onwards that reaches the top of the yield; Very nice rendition: Returns warm colors and high-contrast; the build quality is worthy of the acronym EX, although it is a bit 'annoying little noise it does, if you shake it when the stabilizer is off; AF always accurate and fast. I do not know the noble canon 17-55 f2, 8, but I am sure that is not worth twice the money compared to the sigma (€ 350 against € 750). So if you find over the figure for the canon, I recommend you dive in with your eyes closed on sigma. rn sent on July 02, 2014 |
