![]() | Fujifilm X70 Pros: Portability, RAW file quality, vari-angle screen, neat design, discretion, Fuji film, valid sensor, fully configurable controls. Cons: High price on the second-hand market, production stopped too soon. The lack of a successor... Can it be considered a con? Opinion: I don't want to write a technical review, there are already many for those. I bought this used camera in 2018 and took amazing photos. I didn't use it much at first, thanks to the X-Pro2 I had bought the year before. I then sold it, but after a year I bought it back from the same person to whom I had sold it, and today I would never part with it (even considering the crazy prices of second-hand cars). Now I appreciate it much more: for personal use and travel it has become my ideal companion. Small, compact, with 16 MP which is more than enough, a small built-in flash, physical dials and a highly customizable system. And if needed, with a simple touch you can set it to fully automatic mode, ideal for putting it in the hands of those who are not familiar with cameras on the fly. It's an addictive machine. I love the "perfection within imperfection" of the slightly dated sensors, capable of churning out incredible files. The X-Trans II, in my opinion, represents the "sweet spot" between digital and analogue feeling. If you're lucky to have it, hold on to it. If you don't have it, look for an opportunity: if you find it, don't let it slip away. sent on December 27, 2024 |
