![]() | Nikon Z 40mm f/2 Pros: Do what you don't expect. Cons: It looks like a toy. Opinion: Purchased in July 2023 and used on a Nikon Z6II, this lens always ends up in my backpack when I go out to photograph. Its light weight and small size make it easy to carry around, almost forgettable. Every time I look at it, I wonder if it was a sensible purchase, so much so that sometimes I'd rather shoot with the iPhone. Yet, despite my initial hesitation, all the photos I've taken with this little lens make me say, "Not bad, this little bastard." In conclusion, I use it less frequently because I prefer other lenses, such as the 28-70mm f/2.8, which is much heavier and bulkier. However, when I use this lens, I'm always happy with it – it's great for portraits and moving photos. One good thing is that my 10 year old daughter loves it and uses it all the time. In the future, I plan to buy the Nikon Nikkor Z 26mm f/2.8 as well, when the price is cheaper. sent on May 17, 2024 |
![]() | Nikon Z6 II Pros: Lightness, digital viewfinder, focus. Cons: Nobody Opinion: After exactly one year and 12,000 shots, I have the opportunity to enthusiastically review this extraordinary camera: the Z6 II. Initially, as a D850 owner, I was skeptical about the quality offered by the Z6 II, considering the transition from a 45 mg sensor to a 24 mg sensor. I thought the difference would be obvious, but I had to change my mind. The Z6 II surprised me in a positive way. The photos are spectacular, also thanks to the use of high quality lenses. Despite the lower number of pixels, I do not regret this feature at all. The Z6 II simplifies and makes the entire shooting process much more convenient, minimizing errors and delivering excellent image quality. I bought only one Z lens, the 85 1.8, which turns out to be very compact and lightweight. However, thanks to the lower weight of the machine, I rediscovered the pleasure of using my Sigma Art 135 1.8, which previously, with the D850, was impractical due to the combined weight of the two devices. In the end, I use the Z6 II 70% of the time and the D850 the remaining 30%. This makes me seriously consider selling both cars to switch to the Z8 in the future. Maybe a future Z8 II or a used Z9. Money permitting always. sent on June 27, 2023 |
![]() | Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Pros: Image quality: The lens offers exceptional image quality. It captures sharp details, vibrant colors and superb contrast rendering, allowing you to get the highest quality photos. Cons: Nothing Opinion: The lens in question is truly exceptional and offers incredible quality. In the past, using the Nikon D850, I had some difficulty using it frequently due to the combined weight of the lens and the camera, which exceeded 2.5 kg. This made it inconvenient to carry and use the equipment for a long time. However, with the advent of the Nikon Z6II, I noticed a noticeable change. The weight of the photographic equipment takes a back seat due to its compactness and lightness. This made it much easier to carry the lens and camera with me, allowing me to take pictures more comfortably and without fatigue. In addition, I must point out that the quality of the images produced by the Z6II with this lens is simply extraordinary. Every shot captures sharp details, vibrant colors and amazing depth. The focus is precise and fast, allowing me to capture moments exactly as I want without error. In summary, I can only praise the combination of the Nikon Z6II with this lens. In addition to overcoming the problem of weight, it offers me exceptional photographic results, allowing me to express my creativity in a more free and satisfying way. I couldn't ask for more from a camera gear. sent on June 13, 2023 |
