![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II R Pros: weight, price (used), dimensions, photo quality (compared to price) Cons: none considering it's a kit lens Opinion: Great lens to start with or for those who know what they are buying and want a very light lens. From its maximum closing to f7 or f8 Clearly it is not perfect in terms of image quality in difficult conditions, but it is surprisingly good compared to its conception. Beware, however, that if you are looking for an optics capable of creating bokeh this is the wrong lens. Remember that the bokeh of this lens corresponds to f 7 (to f3.5 then to full aperture) and to f 11 (to f5.6 as soon as you zoom in). Lens suitable for photographic genres or photographic tastes where you do not look for bokeh. sent on May 24, 2023 |
![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M1 Pros: stabilization, used price, single af, built-in functions, construction, burst, dimensions Cons: AF tracking, skin texture, ISO hold Opinion: My first camera, kept for a year and used in all conditions: at the sea, mountains, rain, in the boat in short, everywhere. A camera in my opinion built like a tank and full of features. For the price at which it is used (400€) it is really a bargain. The only really big cons for my way of photographing is the yield in the texture of the skin, not so much in studio conditions but in "generic" conditions. Although I really tried to do everything to solve the problem both in the post and in the room, I have never been able to solve that plastic perception of the skin that I do not appreciate. I repeat. However, being very careful and calibrating the lights very carefully you still get excellent results. For me it is a big yes, but a no for those looking for an easy to use camera for portraiture. sent on May 23, 2023 |
