![]() | Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8 Pros: Compact, lightweight, solid construction Cons: focus, focal Opinion: SUMMING UP: NEGATIVE. Bought several years ago because I had great ambitions towards compact and prime XF quality Fuji targetss, after mouthing my mouth with 18mm. Unfortunately for me (and not only, according to some Flickr contacts) it was a total failure. You can take it with you every day: compact, light, minimalistic. Very sharp after f/5 if I'm not mistaken, but VERY sharp towards f/7-8. And unfortunately with the merits we are done. Focal for me very difficult to use. In street photography where things happen to your face, with an equivalent 41mm you are always 2 steps forward or backward to frame the situation (unless it is a close-up) if your name is not Cartier Bresson. Very low focusing zone to openings that allow clarity. Few say it expressly but many have tried it on the skin and / or think so (if you notice, almost always photograph static situations and / or stationary objects, no action)... the second-hand market speaks for itself: you lose almost 50% of the value if you bought it new at the time. Slow from which to stay away in my opinion. If you want a pancake take the 16 or 18mm. If you want a less wide focal, the 23mm f2. Sold because it's been standing still for years. sent on February 17, 2021 |
