ttartisan_apsc40_macroTTArtisan APS-C 40mm f/2.8 Macro

Pros: Price, sharpness up to f/8, build quality.

Cons: Sharpness from f/11 onwards, ring position, working distance.

Opinion: I recommend this lens to those who want to learn the basics of macro photography without spending too much. In fact, by providing a 1:1 reproduction ratio (among other things on an aps-c sensor) and a more than good sharpness up to f / 8 allows you to experiment with all those procedures (manual focus, focus stalking, use of flash and speakers, filters, adequate post-production, etc.). Indispensable even if you want to take the plunge and buy a more performing macro lens. In fact, the merits of this lens as far as I am concerned end here. The sharpness already from f/11 undergoes a sharp drop, which for a macro lens is quite inconceivable. If you want the 1: 1 ratio, the lens stretches conspicuously, reducing a working distance that would already be short starting being a 40mm. For those like me who shoot mainly freehand with flash and diffuser, the rings (although fluid and pleasant) are in a really uncomfortable position: it is a moment to change aperture or focus by mistake. However, thanks to this lens I became passionate about macro: I learned a lot and I still enjoy it; That's why I gave him full sufficiency. With a little patience I got good shots, but if you have professional claims or you want to "throw" a few shots, then you might as well keep sti € 120 and put them on another lens.

sony_18-135ossSony E 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS

Pros: Sharpness, portability, autofocus (Sony rarely disappoints in this respect)

Cons: Dark (but you already know before buying it), not exceptional build quality (also predictable given the price), vignetting (unpredictable and therefore more serious)

Opinion: Very compact and lightweight all-rounder, which in optimal conditions reaches the sharpness of the fixed. The bezel of the MAF is a bit plastic but we are seeing the price. The maximum aperture 3.5-5.6 makes it usable only in satisfactory light conditions. Defect that I notice most is the vignetting at TA at any focal length; I doubt that the problem is more intrusive in my specimen, I do not have the counterproof. In some photos you notice more in others less, but it is a defect that is not expected before the purchase so just report it. However, I gave it a high rating because as a kit lens to start it is more than good, and also because it has proven to be a very valid travel lens.

sony_e50Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS

Pros: For the price, I would say that it has no weaknesses.

Cons: For this price nothing. Perhaps the ring of focus is not very pleasant to the touch but it is precisely the hair in the egg.

Opinion: After trying it out enough, I think this lens has no weaknesses. Needless to insert among the cons the build quality or a bokeh not from fullframe. These are things you know even before you buy it. It is small and lightweight, razor-sharp at all apertures and with a phenomenal autofocus (AFC). Stabilized. Valid for portraiture but also for street or macro (taking advantage of a minimum distance of MAF very advantageous). Purchase of which I am very happy and that I absolutely recommend.

apple_iphone12miniApple iPhone 12 mini

Pros: There are no phones of this size that are so performing; ultragrandangol

Cons: Camera

Opinion: I think I'll keep this phone for a long time, as long as Apple releases updates, because it's really great. You put it in any pocket and even using it with one hand you reach anywhere on the screen. The much-criticized battery life was actually a pleasant surprise. The way I use it (everything but play it) I arrive quietly at the end of the day even with a considerable use (6 hours a day for example). The only really unsuspected flaw, the camera. Despite a very elaborate portrait mode (with the possibility of "simulating" the desired depth of field), this in fact makes water from all sides. The ultra-grandangular mode allows you to shoot architectures and landscapes, but as soon as you zoom in these photos you realize how completely devoid of details. The 12 megapixels evidently do not hold very high angles of field. But the really weak point (and what I only see in this generation) is a senseless white balance in the interior. Here the Kelvins are inexplicably raised excessively, producing a yellowish light. I don't know if it's a intended effect to make the photo more true to ambient light, but it's really unpleasant when you review the shots. I thought it was a flaw in my device but doing online searches I saw that many complain about it. I hope Apple remedies with an update soon. Phone, however, unique in its kind and that I recommend without a doubt.

sony_a6400Sony A6400

Pros: Compactness, image quality, AF, ISO, optics, menu (!), price

Cons: Battery life, lack of stabilization, smartphone app

Opinion: Despite being a machine highly appreciated by vloggers, I bought it mainly for photography... and I don't regret it! Very compact and light, it gives birth to images of excellent quality up to 3200 ISO, all with a truly performing autofocus. The Sony E attachment allows you to choose a wide range of lenses, so you can satisfy an audience with different needs (and budgets). The menu, rightly included by many among the defects, it must be said that in this machine model it is customizable, so that you can always have the most frequently used options/settings in hand. Battery life must undoubtedly be included among the cons, but if you buy a camera like this you know what you're up against.. The lack of stabilization can also be annoying (especially in a machine designed for video!), but with Sony APS-C lenses (all stabilized) the problem is solved. The real sore point of Sony devices is the smartphone control app. In addition to my negative experience, even reading online and talking to friends, it seems obvious that there are big compatibility issues between a lot of phone models and the aforementioned app. This problem is quite unacceptable in view of the figures at stake. I hope Sony will remedy this as soon as possible. All in all, however, the merits of this camera far outweigh the flaws, so I highly recommend it.
