![]() | Nikon D500 Pros: Ergonomics, AF, overall speed, image quality and ISO seal Cons: Touch screen not complete, live view good only for static photos. Opinion: I have owned it for about a year and a half, I preferred it to the various mirrorless because of its ergonomics and its top features in an APSC body. I am extremely satisfied with it, it is a pleasure to use and never disappoints expectations, whatever the type of photography. The presence of so many focus points on an APSC sensor allows you to take advantage of practically the entire frame and this is truly a boon for the composition. In addition to this, the AF is really lightning fast, the responsiveness of focus and the speed of the shutter button make it look like a sniper rifle. The aspect that constantly surprises me is the image quality, which I find to be fantastic. I also own a D850 and I can say that the files of the D500 are almost the same as those of the D850 cropped. I honestly do not understand those who criticize the seal at high ISO, since to be an APSC I find it exceptional. I shot in fairly poor light conditions even at 8000 ISO without any problem, grain present but file delivered to the customer without any PP intervention. The thing that I do not tolerate is a live view really unusable for moving subjects (even slight). The result is that you have to use it always and only with the optical viewfinder and this is a shame because sometimes it would be convenient to frame with the display. Overall, however, it is a car that gives me a lot of confidence and a lot of satisfaction and that I will certainly keep for many years. sent on July 18, 2022 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8 G Pros: Bright, beautiful colors, sharpness, overall look of the photos. Cons: Nobody Opinion: Fantastic goal, I love it. With the D500 I always carry it with me and it never disappoints me, I always take out beautiful photos, with beautiful colors and excellent sharpness. I would say that it is a lens that makes me want to photograph, also for the fact that it is very compact when mounted. in addition on FF it is equivalent to a 52mm which is my favorite focal length. The vignetting is present, but very soft and as far as I am concerned it helps to give a very pleasant look to the photos. Obviously it is plastic and does not have a professional feeling, but for the price it has you can not want anything more than it already offers. sent on March 16, 2022 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 16-80mm f/2.8-4 E ED VR Pros: Compactness, focal range, versatility, colors, sharpness and resolution, very fast focusing, aperture values. Cons: Feedback of the not so premium rings, modest flare resistance, huge hood, little pronounced vignetting but not beautiful to see. Opinion: Lens used in kit with the D500, I use it often and I feel great, together they form a very compact and professional kit, suitable in every situation thanks to the focal excursion that is equivalent to a 24-120 FF. Always reliable, very fast focus, beautiful colors, really excellent sharpness and resolution. The only things that can be improved in my opinion are the feedback of the rings a bit 'plastic and not very premium (despite being a lens with the gold ring), the resistance to the flare a little' poor and a vignetting so little pronounced but with edges a little' sharp and therefore aesthetically not beautiful to see, in any case solvable with a click in post-production. Overall, however, a great goal, I will hold on to it. sent on March 16, 2022 |
