![]() | Pentax DA HD 55-300mm f/4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR Pros: Compact, lightweight, fast af, economical Cons: Dimly lit, lacks distance indication on the bezel Opinion: Bought it for the k3iii and I was pleasantly surprised....it's fast and it's Pentax. I would never have guessed. Lightweight, economical, very quiet. Too bad that at 300 it's 6.3, but it wouldn't cost that cheap. I'm still testing it and for the moment it's positive. Sharpness is good. Good colors. Versatile. To take. sent on January 24, 2024 |
![]() | Pentax SMC FA 400mm f/5.6 ED (IF) Pros: Construction, ease of use and Internal Focus. Cons: Soft to TA, AF not very precise Opinion: Dated lens resulting in outdated features. Sharpness not at the top. Not tropicalized. For an excellent yield you have to use it a little and then you understand its strengths and weaknesses. It is a 400 of small size and that allows a shocking use and practicality. Used and kept around the neck during excursions up to 6 hours of walking without having problems. For wandering photo hunting is very recommended. sent on March 05, 2022 |
![]() | Pentax SMC DA* 60-250mm f/4.0 ED (IF) SDM Pros: Build quality, tropicalization, optical rendering, sharpness, discreet AF. Cons: Lack of the lens block in an upright position. Opinion: Versatile lens that suits various uses. Very sharp, weight in the norm. Certainly for walks of several hours it is not very practical, but not uncomfortable either. Price in the norm for a quality lens and I would say lower than the same level of the emblazoned brands. Highly recommended lens. To the face of the nickname of "misunderstood". sent on March 05, 2022 |
![]() | Pentax SMC DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6 ED WR Pros: Weight, tropicalization, size Cons: Little sharpness, low light Opinion: Taken to bring to the following during the trek, then in the rain and snow for its excellent tropicalization. Moreover its reduced weight and the limited size allow to keep it in the jacket pocket without any problems. To be used without particular photographic pretensions. To avoid Crop. Sometimes I was short, but I solved the problem using the 1.4 Pentax multiplier of which I was particularly impressed by the performance both optical and autofocus. sent on April 28, 2019 |
