![]() | Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Pros: Bright, fast AF, sufficiently sharp Cons: Not immune to dust, AC, Lens hood Opinion: It is not an L-series as it also dates back to 20 years ago and should be remembered. The market price is on the 250 and that amount I recommend it to anyone. The AF is not lightning fast but quick enough, the ACS are there and you have to manage them... especially with sun versus or lateral, the sharpness is good (I suggest to use it from F2 onwards) at the maximum loses something. I mean, it always gives me satisfaction. I also have the 135 which, however, sometimes stays at home while the 85 in virtue of the fact that it is not heavy nor massive a niche always finds it in the bag. The lens hood is quite ridiculous as an attack and tends to break loose but let's say it's a manageable limit... just be careful not to lose it if you hold the shoulder (success) The Big Brother 1.2 and the new 1.4 are certainly another thing but for those who is not a pro and wants to amuse s I with a portrait lens getting good results without opening a mortgage I recommend it. Wait before you buy it to the health of the lenses... a little dust inside is not problematic but look at it well before you buy it sent on March 20, 2018 |
