![]() | Photoseiki TB-101 Pros: Great for long and heavy canvas, smooth, strong Cons: It 'really cumbersome. When I travel and I have to take this back and head rack the weight and dimensions are felt. Opinion: I use it in tandem with the 400 2.8 (5.5 kg) + various extender, 5D Mk III or Series 1, on Gitzo Series 5 Carbon from 2.8kg never had any kind of problem. It is smooth, maneuverable. It can not do away with long and heavy telephoto. Obviously not recommended for other types of photography such as landscapes, portraits, macro, etc ... absolutely unfit! for the rest, has been discontinued. I have purchased used and I hope I never have problems finding replacement parts because it would be difficult / impossible. Compared with other photoseiki (the most recent) lighter, this is by far the most robust and we see now. I would not recommend the latest version for remote too heavy. Maybe with a 300 2.8 is .... sent on October 30, 2014 |
![]() | Manfrotto 410 Pros: Precision, price, robust Cons: The ark would have preferred system. On some models, you notice a slight "play" of a few mm plate where the camera supports. Opinion: Since I bought it to replace a ball head, I have not ever regretted it. Outstanding accuracy, I ended up using it more often for landscape photography. With the micro-movements that the head can make you compose the image perfectly without any problems. Ideal for macro. It 'sa bit heavy, true, but the weight is worth all that it offers. Of course you can not think of using it as a head for the photo hunt. :) sent on October 30, 2014 |
