![]() | OM System OM-1 Pros: Lightweight, tropicalized, rich in functions Cons: Non-intuitive autofocus operation. Finding the best setting is a challenge Opinion: Bought 2 years ago, after having had everything. It's not a machine for all uses, I prefer to photograph events: concerts, cabaret, theater. In such contexts the depth of field is welcome and even in low light I work well. It is clear that the lenses must be bright, the 2.8 pro or even better the fixed 1.8 of the house (17 and 45). The combination with the Leica 25 1.4 is also excellent. The white balance is splendid even in cars with difficult lights. The exposure has to be accurate, I don't go beyond ISO 3,200 and jpgs are perfectly usable. In desperate cases from RAW a couple of stops I recover them without problems. Great battery life, viewfinder vision. I've also tried the birdlife, but in reality the only one I'm really interested in is the female sparrow. Unfortunately, it has devalued a lot with the release of the Mk II, not least because of the feeling that OM Systems' support of this is not up to par with a Pro camera. Let's not forget that it's the last one with the Olympus logo, time will be gentlemanly. sent on April 30, 2024 |
