![]() | Ricoh GR III Pros: Size - Jpeg File - Lens Cons: Low-light AF Opinion: A camera that I believe will change the way I experience photography. The reason is simple... You can take it anywhere. The difference with the others in terms of size is astronomical. You leave the house and literally put it in your pocket. The files he pulls out are spectacular, both with the Negative and Positive profile but also in B&W. I took it with me on a recent 4-day trip to Switzerland and I brought home beautiful photos, without lens changes or handbags to carry around (although I also have an R8 which is very small on its own but still requires a bag). As for the battery, it is a false problem as they are so small that even these you can carry without commitment. For the problem of dust I bought a cap to put when I put it in my pocket. The only real negative note is the AF module, in light conditions it does not give problems but in the absence it has a lot of difficulty in focusing, it can be partly solved with the snap focus. sent on December 06, 2024 |
![]() | Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM Pros: Small, light, razor-sharp, fast AF Cons: 7 blades, nervous bokeh Opinion: By now together with my R8 I carry him and the 35. In this way I cover all situations both in terms of light and setting. When I'm with friends and family I wear the 28mm because I think as a focal length it is more suitable for conveying a sense of intimacy. Performance is excellent already at f2.8. The bokeh is a bit jittery with difficult backgrounds, I think because of the 7 blades. Apart from that, a very good lens, to have. sent on October 25, 2024 |
![]() | Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM Pros: Sharpness, Stabilized, Bright, Macro Cons: Weight and dimensions Opinion: Among the "cheap" RF lenses I own (I have the 16,28,35,50) it is the best (only the 28 beats it in sharpness). Already sharp at f2 across the frame. It returns a beautiful 3D effect, vignette and distorts little. Among the cons I put the weight because, at the expense of the absence of stabilization, I would have preferred a lighter and smaller lens. Bokeh is the best among non-L RFs. I often alternate it with the 28mm pancake which is a cap. I'm still torn between the two for general use as the 28mm also defends itself very well. sent on February 05, 2024 |
![]() | Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM Pros: Cost, size, AF Cons: Sharpness Opinion: For the price it's fine. You have to be aware that when wide open it is very soft. To get some sharpness you have to close down to f2.8 (for the center). Unfortunately for the edges you have to close to f5.6. I also noticed that if you close the aperture more, already at f8 there is a lot of diffraction. Taken used at 160€ it can fit. The 35mm optically is something else. sent on January 27, 2024 |
