![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Pros: Quality/price ratio, autofocus accuracy, sharpness Cons: Nothing Opinion: It was one of the first lenses I bought to match my 500D. From the beginning (compared to the lens kit 18-55 to which I was used) I noticed a clear difference in the quality of the images (despite the 500D of its not being a professional camera). I really like the quietness of the autofocus, the precision and the pleasant bokeh. Of course maybe at f/1.8 is a little soft (at least the sides), but already a f/2 gives excellent images. When I took my first FF (a Canon 5D classic, used) I almost always used it on this full frame, they seemed made for each other. It should be remembered that it is not tropicalized, nor can it reach openings of f/1.4 or even f/1.2, but for this it is necessary to spend ten times as much. In summary, it's a great lens to start making portraits (on APS-C) or as a classic nifty-fifty on full frame. If you still have doubts, buy it, you will not regret it. sent on July 27, 2019 |
![]() | Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Pros: Sharp, cheap and light Cons: Nobody Opinion: I purchased this lens for my Canon 500D, both to have a fixed lens (in addition to the 50mm f/1.8), and to have one with a wider angle. It is very suitable for outings and especially for holidays, because it allows you to carry a very sharp, bright and light lens. I believe that at such a price we cannot expect anything better. sent on June 24, 2019 |
