| | Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD Pros: Focal range, sharpness, speed and silence AF, price Cons: Zoom could be smoother, slightly bulky and heavy Opinion: Taken for a Fuji XT5 it is the classic all-rounder, and in general it does it quite well. More than satisfactory sharpness even at the extremes, lightning-fast AF. Comparing it to a Sigma 18-300 that I have for another camera body it is heavier and bulkier, but this must also be put in relation to the compactness and lightness of the current camera body; Other than that it's definitely better at everything. Although I have not tried all super-zooms, I would recommend this lens. sent on September 12, 2025 |
| | Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM Pros: Cost, lightness, stabilization, sharpness at the center Cons: On the bad sidelines Opinion: For What it costs used, it is absolutely not terrible. Too Bad the defects on the sidelines, with evident blur (especially at the top left) that do not improve much when the focal and closing of the diaphragm change. Chromatic Aberrations present at the edges at the focal court, however easily correctable in post production. Excellent stabilization, AF is not lightning but, personally, it is not a problem. Great sharpness in the middle. sent on April 17, 2019 |
