 | Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/4 G ED VR Pros: Weight, fast and precise AF , very sharp on all focal lengths Cons: Really nothing Opinion: I have this lens now for a few weeks and i really love it, i don't know how i have managed so long without it. So sharp and precise, even when i crop a picture to poststamp size it is sharp. I often walk long with my dog with the camera hanging around my neck so the lightweight is a real con for me.  | Nikon AF-S DX 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G ED VR Pros: Lightness, good sharpness, vr very good, price Cons: Not much really, only de autofocus could be a little faster Opinion: I use this lens for 3 years now, i take on my hikes with my dog and it is very light. I find it a very good allround lens wich makes very sharp pictures from a bird far away till very decent macro. It has a very nice bokeh, especially with de macro pictures. Mine was very sharp with my nikon D5100 up to 250 mm, with my nikon D7000 it is sharp all the way to 300 mm. If you want to walk with your camera and don't want to miss out anything on your way, and don't want to change lenses , this is the lens for you.
