panasonic_26_f8Panasonic Lumix S 26mm f/8

Pros: Image quality, size and weight

Cons: Nothing if you are aware of what you are buying

Opinion: A cap lens that initially puzzled me. I bought it anyway because of its very small size and zero weight, practically it is like going around only with the camera body. Certainly, being MF, it is not suitable for an audience used to photographing with a smartphone. Slightly smaller at the edges than my Lumix S 20-60 at the same focal length, aperture and distance as MAF but it gives beautiful photographs, there is nothing to worry about. After 3 weeks of intense use, I can say that I have not regretted it, on the contrary, excellent paired with my S5II, I would recommend it.

pentax_kpPentax KP

Pros: Construction, tropicalization, high quality files, high ISO hold, dynamic range, replaceable grips, vintage look.

Cons: AF improveable, battery life.

Opinion: This machine is crazy when combined with quality lenses, such as the FF Pentax and Limited. Sony's 24-megapixel sensor (not backlit, a boon for high ISOs), is really a bomb paired with the Pentax processor. Overall I can only say that this reflex has been and is really underrated, thanks Pentax for this product. I have owned this machine for about 2 years, I also made some comparisons with other machines like the Sony A7III of a friend of mine... what to say, up to 3200 ISO there are no discernible differences, besides I don't know, we haven't tried. I have used it in many fields and, apart from the add-on AF and battery, I am fully convinced that this medium is a great choice (considering the current price) for many people looking for compactness and performance without giving up the mirror. Today's market has changed a lot but I am sure that Pentax will keep its philosophy while keeping up with the times.
