Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.8 G

Pros: Light, fast and sharp with great bokeh/blur.

Cons: Plastic construction, but for the price nobody expects otherwise.

Opinion: Best $200 you can spend on a lens without a doubt. Great for many types of shooting whether your body is DX or FX. Perfect for walking around and shooting in the street. This lens will really surprise you as a portrait lens, especially on a DX body. Razor sharp in the focal plane and beautiful, creamy blur in the background. They don't call it the plastic fantastic for nothing!
