![]() | Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Pros: well built; Sharpness IF Very precise focus ring. Cons: Weight Moving the focus ring to focus in manual. Opinion: I have and use this lens for about a year, maybe I made the mistake of matching it to a a6300 (APS-C), but in macro the autofocus is quite undecided species in continuous mode. I often work in manual (Times and apertures), but exploit the autofocus (center point) for my eyesight problems and if I set a more closed aperture than f/11 I'm never sure of the focus because it oscillates continuously, which never happened to me with SLRs ( Pentax and Nikon). In macro I expect to have image quality even at closed apertures, while this gives the best at medium apertures. Little Practice the focus ring (for slipping in manual mode, with focus shift) although precise and very fluid (Nikon and Sigma do not need slippage). sent on June 06, 2018 |
