canon_5d2Canon 5D Mark II

Pros: Build Quality, Solidity, sensor/file Quality, high ISO/Noise Management

Cons: No one in relation to age and the price of the used

Opinion: I Own this machine for a year and honestly I bought it almost by accident, because I wanted to try a FF without spending a fortune and without particular foreclosures of brand/age/etc... I immediately felt very good in everything, but I actually at that time I had no real comparison parameters, because my digital experience was limited to the Crop sensors of Fuji (although excellent for many things). Now I have to admit that the more time passes and the more I am happy with the purchase: I have good familiarity with Lightroom and with its raw I can really do anything! Also every time I happen to compare the surrender with rooms of friends, it always comes out winning (we are all non-professional amateurs with similar band instruments):) Unfortunately I don't know the quality of the latest generation FF, I guess it's excellent, but at a much higher cost. For me it is absolutely recommended unless you are looking for a lightning war for sports photos or that generally require speed of Fire and use. PERFECT in the studio or in general for photos that you can take calmly, such as portraits, architectures and landscapes.

Pros: Lens, file quality/sensor, Design

Cons: Drums, Jpg in portraits, viewfinder

Opinion: I do not know who will be interested today, in 2019, a review of this room out of production for almost 5 years, but I really want to share with you my experience. The pros and cons of the main technicians know them all, but if I'm not mistaken anyone has ever talked about something that at first bothered me a lot: jpg files in portraits (especially with little light), tend to make a porcelain skin effect by default. The complexion is processed in this way and in some cases the effect is too fake, even if someone might like it. The solution is always use the raw, which I do normally, but for those who want JPG ready to use is right that you know this aspect. The other point that I would like to share is that I find this camera, and specifically this focal length, extremely educational! I only shot with x100s fixed focal for a whole year and this forced me to use our powerful natural zoom: the legs. This focal calls for a little effort, but it gives a lot: it imposes a compositional effort, but as said it really teaches to make the best use of the environment with a forced field angle. Obviously I think it's awesome for street photography and reportage.
