![]() | Pentax SMC D-FA 100mm f/2.8 Macro WR Pros: Pretty much everything except AF Cons: AF Opinion: Where do I start, first of all I state that I use it on k70 and I was extremely satisfied from the first shots. The build quality is excellent, very compact dimensions to be a 100mm, impeccable image quality and colors (you can see that it is pentax), returns very detailed images (which is appreciated especially in macro), extremely versatile because it is suitable for all types of photography (I used it at the moment for landscapes, portraits, macro and still life and it did not disappoint me in the least) and last but not least, It is tropicalized. As a con I noticed only one thing that in my opinion is not minimally relevant since I do not use it, the AF is noisy (it looks like a screwdriver) and slightly slow compared to many other lenses but in my opinion it is quite useless, especially if you shoot macro. As far as I'm concerned, it's a lens that I absolutely must. sent on December 19, 2022 |
![]() | Pentax K-70 Pros: Ergonomic, tropicalized, lens portability, robust, viewfinder coverage, color rendering, excellent ISO yield up to 1600, 100% viewfinder coverage with pentaprism and possibility to shoot in live view with adjustable screen Cons: Battery life, low-resolution monitor Opinion: What to say, the pros are clearly superior to the cons... Let's start from the fact that it is tropicalized, which at this price is not found in any other machine that is not pentax, the robust construction gives you a sense of reliability and makes you understand that you have something in hand instead of Canon and Nikon of the same range, which in my opinion seems to have toys, can also be mounted very old lenses (I, for example, also mount 3 lenses of the 80s), the color rendering is excellent both, especially if, like me, you use it for landscaping, maintains an excellent yield up to ISO 1600 (at 3200 begins to produce noise), mounts a pentaprism, while many other brands at the same price give you a pentamirror and last, But not least, the fact of being able to shoot in Live View with a swivel screen that in my opinion is a nice convenience. Moving on to the cons, I noticed only two: the battery lasts little and the monitor does not have a good resolution, although the latter is only a matter of convenience. That said, however, I recommend it a lot, especially for those who do landscaping. sent on November 24, 2022 |
![]() | Pentax-A SMC 50mm f/2.0 Pros: Lightweight, robust, sharp images, bokeh Cons: No AF Opinion: I bought Pentax because I already had lenses that my father used in an analog, including this one. First of all, I am first of all a landscaper, so for this kind of photo this lens is not ideal because it cuts the image too much, but I use it for portraits and I must say that it does its job very well. Sharp images and a bokeh that has nothing to envy to other lenses. On a constructive level and very solid and light. Unfortunately being an old lens does not have AF, in fact the first times I had difficulty in focusing. All in all it is a lens to have if you are not a beginner. sent on July 20, 2022 |
![]() | Pentax HD DA 18-50mm f/4-5.6 DC WR RE Pros: Compact, WR, lightweight Cons: Dark, not very versatile Opinion: Objective had in kit with the k70, it proved to be excellent both to start and to continue. I must say that it is not very versatile, not having an important opening, but in landscaping it does its job well, obviously being an economic goal. A great value is the compactness that makes it comfortable to carry, both for reasons of space and weight, reasons why I can say that it is a lens to always carry with you. sent on July 19, 2022 |
