![]() | Nikon Z5 Pros: Ergonomics, materials, dynamic range, excellent stabilization, dual SD slots, value for money, image quality Cons: Autofocus, 4k video with crop Opinion: Great camera. As soon as you take it in your hand it gives you that right feeling, that desire to take photos. Perfect for those who want to enter the world of Nikon ml ff while keeping costs down. After a few moments to get used to the new system, I began to appreciate it very much. I find it perfect for general photos, landscapes and (static) portraits in particular. With a 50 s 1.8, you get very nice images. Excellent 24 mpx sensor. Although it is not backlit as e.g. Z6II, holds up very well at high ISO. The excellent stabilization allows you to raise the shutter speeds a lot. A sore point.. AF especially in low light. During the day I still managed to get good results in triathlon / motorcycle / various sports races, but with a lot of effort and not using tracking. So if you're looking for something faster, a simple z50ii will do much better. On the 4k video side only in crop. But if it is mainly used for family trips or sports shooting not for work, I find the quality of the video more than sufficient. Very useful double sd slot (one of the reasons for the choice when I bought it), even if I don't understand why the videos are saved only on an sd. It has its flaws undoubtedly. I for one now feel I want something more, but having paid less than 1000 euros new more than 3 years ago, and considering that it is now used at very affordable prices, it is not to be excluded. I will still keep it as a second body or as the main one for city outings/walks. With a 24-70 f4 up front, the size/weight is still very manageable. sent on November 21, 2025 |
