![]() | Sony WX500 Pros: Small, battery life, usage mode Cons: screen not fully adjustable, lack of viewfinder and Raw file, or at least Tiff. Opinion: It is a very small camera, ready to use and very fast in AF and setting, almost point and shoot. Too bad the Raw file is not provided but the Jpeg it provides are still excellent, beautiful colors and sharpness. Another issue is the lack of a viewfinder, not even optional I think, would be convenient especially with strong light. Overall I would say that it is a machine that sometimes makes me leave the other 'heavy' at home if there is no particular photographic need. sent on June 02, 2023 |
![]() | Kenko Pro 300 DGX 2.0x Pros: Construction, weight. Cons: Huge, at least on my specimen, drop in sharpness, MAF difficult at extreme focal lengths. Opinion: I don't know, but I bought it to pair it, when needed, to the 80-200 Tokina AF AT-x pro. Precisely on this there is a huge decrease in sharpness and increase in aberrations, indeed, it seems that it does not really focus, despite the camera indicating the occurred AF with halos everywhere on the frame. On fixed lenses, and not 2.8 zoom all this is non-existent. I repeat as above at least on my specimen, I think I took a failed version or with problems, maybe not compatible with the Tokina. sent on October 18, 2022 |
![]() | Nikon Coolpix W300 Pros: Light, compact, handling and speed in reaching commands and/or functionality. Good macro functionality. Cons: It needs a rather long " setting " in very humid environments, or if immersed in the immediate, it is easily tarnished. 3x2 format not available. M-P-S-A functions not provided, too bad. A few less iso was welcome. Opinion: I use it mainly for outdoor work, by taking perital photographs on vehicles, so exposed has everything that Mother Nature sends us, has a good robustness, even at bumps, although a protection on the lens would not be bad. The image quality is good, it loses something at the extreme zoom but it is pretvavabile, the features offered are many and often in the tip and snaps take you out of the "woes", even if some manual function did not hurt, just the way A or P for example. If you use it for what it is, especially suitable for photos/holidays, it is a great compact of company tip and shoot, when adjusted on the function of self-determination of the scene changes almost instantly. As I would vote I would give an 8.5, as mentioned before some functions were to be inserted. sent on November 26, 2019 |
