![]() | Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 L II USM Pros: Gorgeous blur Cons: Slow and not always accurate af (on 6D) Opinion: An amateur canonical photographer (at first by chance, then by habit) since I was a boy, I took the opportunity of a professional friend who discarded the Canon kit and I bought it leaving it stationary for a while. When I had the opportunity to use it (portraits of my children) I was able to appreciate its qualities. I think it should be used mostly at maximum aperture, otherwise it would make no sense to have such an expensive, heavy and cumbersome 85; at f/1.2, however, it is unrivaled, at least among similar lenses I have been able to try. Using it is not always easy (unlike, for example, the 135 f:2), but it is a lens that for me alone justifies the possession and use of a Canon camera body. sent on November 23, 2023 |
