sony_a9Sony A9

Pros: The Revenge of the mirrorless!

Cons: No one to be the first A9

Opinion: I state that I come from Canon "professional" and that I arrived at the A9 after trying the A7RIII (for my type of photography has too many pixels to manage). Sony has unveiled the A9 as the ideal camera for sports photographers and professionals who need record performance but using it I tell you it is exceptional at 360 °. As soon as you pick up the Sony A9 the first sensation is that it takes your breath away: responsiveness and speed at the highest levels, it looks like a reflex and not a mirrorless, and the AF is very precise even with fast moving subjects. Needless to stand to list the features and performance that you can find from anywhere, my advice is to go and try it! The Sony A9 is a great camera with excellent performance, the benchmark not only in the world of mirrorless but also of SLR cameras.

sony_fe35_f2-8zaSony FE 35mm f/2.8 ZA Sonnar T*

Pros: Small, light and exceptional performance

Cons: Price

Opinion: Let's start by saying that the Zeiss 35 f2.8 is chosen for its small size without worrying too much about the price. For lightness, compactness and quality becomes the irreplaceable companion of any Sony mirrorless camera (at least it is for me on my A9). The best thing about this lens is the sharpness that, combined with high contrast and very vivid colors, gives extremely bright and three-dimensional images even when the light is not optimal. The anti-reflective treatment is good, the vignetting ad f2.8 is present but ascending gradually to f8 disappears altogether. Obviously it is easily eliminable in post production. The chromatic aberrations are controlled in an excellent way and the barrel distortion is on minimum values and, looking for it, it can be found just a little on the corners. The Sony Zeiss 35mm f2.8 is undoubtedly a lens with excellent optical performance. The only negative note... needless to deny.. is the high price!
