![]() | Sony A7 IV Pros: A truly PRO machine !!! Lightning-fast autofocus, infinite dynamic range, foolproof white balance. Cons: Menu items ... it is often impossible to understand what abbreviations mean Opinion: Just taken, and tried only for a day, on a set with many models; from the first shots I was really impressed by the autofocus (I come from the Alpha 7 III), extremely faster and practically infallible even with very little light. Infinite dynamic range, perfect white balance, and a distinct feeling that the files are much, much better than the previous one. On the set there were continuous LED lights, and despite the cloudy day and the colorful furnishings the AWB did not miss a beat. The photos seem more three-dimensional, more balanced, in short, as if they had already been developed by a skilled hand (I have not yet been able to develop the RAW with Capture One, but I could "edit" them and see them with the Sony program). Very comfortable and larger handle than the 7 III, and easy keys to press even with an eye to the viewfinder. The latter has made a huge leap in quality compared to the previous series resulting bright, balanced and very very natural. Battery of 10 and praise ... waiting for the Battery grip ....... I managed to take 850 photos with one charge (no flash), with camera set in AF-C. At 3200 Iso it is almost impossible to see the grain, and at higher values it has a "pleasant" appearance. Finally when I change the lens I feel calmer with the shutter curtain that goes down to protect the sensor. Happy to have the lock on the upper bezel: finally you will not be able to stand the exposure without wanting it. The only flaw are the abbreviations of the menu, almost incomprehensible in Italian .... although it should be applauded to Sony for having finally removed the previous menu!!!!! I reserve the right to deepen in a few months my first excellent impression after a use, I hope, intense. sent on December 08, 2021 |
