![]() | OM System OM-3 Pros: Robustness, top-of-the-range sensor, computational functions with GND filters, high-performance AF, design, grips and uses well (even if without grip), battery life (the same as the OM-1). Cons: Nothing, but if I had to find a defect I would say the lack of the joypad. Many complain about the low resolution of the viewfinder, on the contrary I find it very faithful and functional, so I don't consider the low resolution a defect. Opinion: I have owned the OM-1 (first version) for some time, which I consider a great camera, and I decided to add the OM-3 to my kit to make up for the small shortcomings of the OM-1, in fact the OM-3 has GND filters and a more complete and configurable AF, for the rest I think they are both mature cameras with which you always bring home the result. I consider them like Swiss army knives. The batteries are also the same and therefore the coexistence of both machines is easier. The OM-3, in my opinion, is suitable for travel and street photography but can, as I said before, be used for any photographic genre. Those who cannot bring home the result and complain about the usual limitations of the m4/3 mean that they have not understood how the system works. To close I specify that I am a former owner of the excellent z6II, in fact after a long period of coexistence with the two kits I realized in the field that the z6II always remained at home, so I decided to sell all the FF kit .... and I'm glad I did. sent on May 04, 2025 |
