![]() | Sony FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 Pros: Optical quality, price quality, weight Cons: Vignetting sometimes very heavy, lens release Opinion: The lens itself is not bad at all, with a Sony Alpha 7S (which therefore has its age) it works great. The lens has good quality, it is very light. At 28mm obviously it is not an extreme wide angle, but I personally like this focal length a lot. The opening is obviously not the best, but those who take this lens look for a low weight and a good overall quality. I use it in the mountains and during my excursions I honestly forget the camera in my backpack thanks to the low weight. However, there are downsides: unlocking the lens and vignetting. I don't like unlocking, it gives me the idea of having a "short life", and the sound it gives me as a return makes me a bit scary but probably they are my fisime. Vignetting, on the other hand, is the worst defect of this lens: with any filter at shorter focal lengths, up to about 35mm, and at medium diaphragms closed, the lens vignettes so much that it is difficult to reduce the defect in post. I haven't tried slim filters yet, although mine is really thin, but I'm afraid that the situation will not change. From 35mm onwards the problem disappears. On the positive side, however, there is one aspect: the lens has a tiny diameter and therefore the filters cost very little. Ultimately, for those looking for a good lens, lightweight and who wants to spend little, this lens is probably the best possible choice in the Sony landscape. sent on June 15, 2023 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix LX100 Pros: Lens quality, all-rounder zoom, build quality Cons: Interface a bit complex, application reviewable, cost of used still high (but quality you pay) Opinion: An exceptional compact. The quality of the lens (branded Leica) is very high and is very bright, with this compact you can do practically anything. In your hand you hold very well and you immediately perceive the high quality of the materials, also confirmed by the not-so-derisory weight. It has very few flaws: the menu is, on the first, quite complex; the smartphone app (I only tried on Android) is quite slow and it is difficult to pair the camera the first time. I believe, however, that it is a must buy found below 300€ (although it can be quite difficult to find at this price) and I can only recommend it to those who, like me, need a light compact to use as a "notebook for notes" when you do not feel like carrying the main kit. sent on October 26, 2020 |
![]() | Ricoh GR Pros: Incredible lens for a compact, sharpness, ease of use, magnificent APS-C sensor Cons: Concrete risk of dust on the sensor Opinion: After several months of use, I feel compelled to give an opinion on this compact to say the least magnificent. Taken by a user on this forum for 300 euros, practically new, has bewitched me. I was hesitant because nowadays this compact has arrived at the third version and I thought that the first model was a little too old, but I was wrong in the most absolute way, saving about 600 euros is important even if you give up certain more modern features (for example, the number of pixels, which in this first version is around 16 mil, the III instead has 24 mil). In any case this premium compact is wonderful: sharpness at the highest level (if it plays with my 5DII despite this Ricoh has a sensor of smaller size), exaggerated microcontrast (black and white is in fact its bread), the weight is ridiculous and is easy to use (in search of options). Of course, the equivalent 28mm is a bit exclusive, it is a focal that gives the best of itself only if you fully understand what you want to do and photograph: I can say that since I have this Ricoh I decided to look for a fixed 28mm for Canon EF so much I felt good with this Focal. Plus, let's face it, it's also wonderful to see, it expresses style and charisma from all angles. The only downsides are that, given the type of movement of the lens, it can happen that it is deposited on the dust sensor (which objectively it is impossible to remove without sending the machine to service) and in the fact that the accessories have frankly absurd costs (e.g. the optional viewfinder costs 200 euros, even if it is a very simple piece of glass). I would recommend it to all those who are looking for a premium compact to always have with them but who also want an image quality at very good levels. sent on January 20, 2020 |
