sony_a6500Sony A6500

Pros: Ridiculous footprint, quality images, beautiful videos, many possibilities of customization, stabilization, ISO sealing, focus

Cons: Ergonomics, menus to study as a language, battery not durable (but not exaggerated), colors difficult to handle

Opinion: The spark didn't snap with this Sony unfortunately. I came from a Canon 6D, full frame reflex, and after a year I have to say that I never really felt it mine. It is very small and I found the grip uncomfortable. It's edgy, it's not very pleasant to hold in my hand for me. The weight and size, however, make you carry it always and anyway, you put it in your bag and you don't even notice it. I have to say that from a technical point of view it's crazy, the photos I took never made me regret 6D and I didn't expect that. It keeps THE ISO well, always beautiful night shots with a nice clean black. Crazy focus. The colors are very difficult to govern... The file is workable to the far-fetched but if you are not very prone to post-produce is not the right machine, they must be interpreted and modeled. Really cool video side, I made 4k videos with the profile "cine4" and dirty misery looked like a movie. The color profile menu is a really technical thing to study for hours on end, but if you cheat the right profile it gives you a lot of satisfaction. The problem with this machine is that of general usability... Menus are complicated and certain items are also mistranslated. I happened to have changed parameters to make a shot or a video, and once I finished I took several minutes to find that menu item to restore everything. There is not even the classic "my menu" section, there are just 3 customizable buttons on the body but that are only 3. Basically it's not a point and shoot machine, it's a well of technology that you have to know how to handle from snap to click and that also forces you to stay so long in front of the PC to work the files. The quality is indisputable but it is not immediate at all. I'm going to move on to Fuji, it seems better suited to my approach. The a6500 I will definitely remember it for its excellent quality but I don't think I'll miss having it in my hand and using it

canon_6dCanon 6D

Pros: Current price, ergonomics, crazy image quality, Canon colors

Cons: Boh, all things you know well before you buy it... LCD not unsourable, few points of focus and little else. Maybe poor video specifications

Opinion: This is an amazing machine for me. I took it a year ago and now I've sold it to mirrorless, as the passion for video looms. I write these two words to pay tribute to her. I took it used at 500 euros with just over 10 thousand shots as the first full frame, and immediately made me fall in love. Holding it is very pleasant, it is perfect in the hand and has the right weight. The arrangement of the keys makes you feel at home and has so many possibilities to customize them to make you your favorite configuration. The images he churns out have always satisfied me. I used it in the mountains with a 14mm and the photos were postcard-worthy. The rest of the time has always been coupled with the 50mm, the PERFETTA lens for her. Always exciting shots. Even the bad photos were nice. There is some review that put the ISO hold in the cons, I personally have always been satisfied. Above 2,000 the grain you begin to see, but somehow even that manages to be pleasant. I've always loved playing with shadows in photos, and this machine returns a beautiful full-bodied black without artifacts. For this machine really just love! He's got flaws for sure. My old machine had a snooper screen and it wasn't easy to get used to the landscreen. The focus points are a few minutes like I said, but in my photography it was never a problem. For the video side maybe it's a little lacking especially these days with all these mirrorless popping up like mushrooms. I don't regret my choice because I really felt the need for a completely different car, but if I didn't need to pull us up a few pennies it would definitely have stayed with me with the 50mm glued forever. I have the feeling that when I reach the completeness with my new kit, sooner or later I will find a 6D in my room. Now, I've never tried the mark 2, but from what I understand is an improved mark 1, so in a few years it will probably be the mark 2 the real "pearl of the past" and it will no longer make sense the mark 1. But now with 500 euros and maybe a little less you make yourself a full frame with which you can do everything and that will make you love to madness. I may not have been very objective, but I really loved her. Hello 6D
