![]() | Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD Pros: Very versaile Cons: Not very reliable focusing. Opinion: Comparing it with the Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR2 (with VR off) on moving subjects on the Nikon Z8 (firmware 2.1) I noticed more inconsistency in focusing. If they had been able to get to 24 or 28mm it would always have been mounted on the camera body, I associated the 24 sigma art f1.4 or the minimalist 28mm f2.8 Nikkor Z. It's not a lens that goes unnoticed but it's an all-rounder that does its job, I found myself preferring it to more important lens configurations (24-35-85 sigma art f1.4 for example, or the triad 14-24, 24-70, 70-200 nikkor 2.8) to reduce weight during demanding trips when I put in my backpack for example the 200-500 5.6, or when I didn't want to put lenses in the hold that didn't fit in the hand luggage due to weight and/or size. I'm trying to understand if there is a problem related to a use of battery when grafted on the Nikon Z8 and placed in the backpack: after not even two weeks I found the mirrorless several times discharged, an event that does not happen with the other dozens of lenses I have and that happens to be grafted for some time, I asked for information to the Italian assistance but they were not able to give any clue / suggestion. The installed lens firmware is the latest available: 2024.05.30. sent on June 30, 2025 |
