![]() | Fujifilm XF 18mm f/1.4 R LM WR Pros: Great sharpness even at the edges, absence of distortion, build quality, autofocus. Cons: nobody. Opinion: the 28mm. It has always been my favorite wide-angle. I like its angle of view similar to the human field of view that naturally reproduces the expansion of space and depth. Years ago I bought the Fuji 18 f2, small, light and very beautiful with its metal hood, thus completing the triad: 60 f 2.4 - 35 f 1.4 -18 f2. But the latter has never completely convinced me. So I sold it and got the 18 f1.4. After two years of use I am very satisfied with its performance. It is an excellent lens. Great sharpness even at the extreme edges and absence of distortion, fundamental characteristics for a wide angle. Absence of chromatic aberrations and great build quality, metal can be felt all over. The autofocus is very fast and precise, nice color reproduction. I use it mainly with the XT5 and sometimes even with the XT2 which with this lens becomes amazing. As a lover of fixed in my outings I like to combine it with the 35 f 1.4 and the results are always excellent. Of course it is expensive, a bit large and heavy compared to the 18 f2 but it balances well and considering the large aperture, performance and build quality the cost is adequate. A recommended lens. sent on January 28, 2025 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T3 Pros: Very beautiful aesthetics, image quality Cons: Battery life like all mirrorless Opinion: The line is very beautiful and reminiscent of the Contax and Fujica cameras of the 70s and 80s. You pick it up and immediately feel the cold metal. It is carefully constructed and is very handy and lightweight. Heavy Reflexes are now a distant memory. With its fantastic ghieres you always have everything under control. The adjustments are precise and fast without entering the menus and making you lose focus or the moment. The autofocus is fast and makes no mistake. Exposure is always perfect and even in the most difficult light situations no subsequent adjustments are necessary. The white balance automatically is great. The quality of the jpeg files is excellent with such sharpness. Very nice colors and not bad film simulations. I often use the Velvia simulation for macro and landscape. Not bad black and white, too. I usually shoot with jpeg -raw but the latter almost always archives it without even looking at it. The viewfinder is very large, bright and well detailed and with the adjustments allowed by the XT3 you can see the perfect final result even before the shot. Usually I use it with the best Fuji fixed optics (16mm f1,4mm f.1.4 -35mm f1.4 ..) along with the XT2 and I am very satisfied with it. For those looking for a compact, lightweight and well-performing camera, this is a great choice. Recommended! sent on October 09, 2019 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 23mm f/1.4 R Pros: Sharpness, color, blur. Cons: nobody Opinion: A massive vintage looking lens (such as the Fuji X cameras) and very well-built. The diaphragm ring is very soft and you can set up a third of the diaphragm. Manual focusing is very fluid and it is really a pleasure to use it. Sharpness is gorgeous, magnifying your photos to the computer you can see the finest details. The color is wonderful and the blur is very beautiful. Distortion is absent. It reminds me when I used the Nikon Fm2 years ago with Nikkor 35mm. And the Kodachrome 64 film .... It's the fucking goal of my Fuji kit. Ideal for reportage, landscape, set portraits and interior photos. A great goal. sent on July 26, 2017 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro Pros: Compact, lightweight, very sharp Cons: Autofocus a bit slow Opinion: Very compact and lightweight lens to be a mid-sized macro. It's built very well and is all metal. Very sharp already at full opening. The colors are gorgeous and the blur is very soft. I use it for both the macro and the portraits. The autofocus with little light is a little slow (I use it with the XT1) but nothing serious. Recommended sent on July 26, 2017 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 14mm f/2.8 R Pros: Sharpness, no distortion Cons: nobody Opinion: It's a compact, lightweight and well-built lens. Very nice diaphragm ring. I've been using it for nearly two years and the results I get are always excellent. Sharpness is great for all diaphragms. Very nice color. It's a super wide angle without distortion. Ideal for landscapes, architecture and interior photos. A lens I advise. sent on July 26, 2017 |
