We are thinking of going to the Dolomites to photograph the autumn colours this year. We are retired and flexible in timing. No air bookings as yet. I would appreciate any suggestions re timing. Also re Lake Limides-- How long approximately is the hike, and is it uphill? I have found it on google maps, but cannot make out the terrain or distance.
Re the Cinque Torre-- is there any way of getting there on a gondola in autumn? The hike appears pretty long.
