sigma_180macroSigma 180mm f/3.5 EX HSM Macro

Pros: Sharp, light compared to the new version, good AF

Cons: None at this moment, quid future compatibility ?

Opinion: I wanted to buy a new one when they went on sale before the release of the f:2.8 version with OS, but was offered a second hand (non-DG),so I could upgrade from the Canon 100mm (non-IS) for 100 EUR. AF is as good as the Canon, and with the longer subject distance I can photograph butterflies and dragonflies handheld. On tripod useable with 1.4 and even 2.0 extenders (no more AF). Ironically it is reported in the EXIF as a Canon EF180 f:3.5 macro.
