Canon EF 2.0x III

Pros: Double the focal length, improved AF performance and quality compare to 2x MK II TC, good quality even in low light.

Cons: Canon make very bad move not allowing to stitch the 1,4x and 2x TC, which was possible with the Mark II edition, loosing some light and AF performance

Opinion: I use it almost full time with my EF 300mm f2.8L IS USM lens and I am really happy with the results. I recommend upgrade from MK II version of the 2x TC. I guess is much better with the MK II lens, but I am still satisfied with it now. Had to agree the quality is much better with this two on a FF body like 5D MK III, but I am expecting that the 7D MK II will make this lens and extender a hot couple even on crop sensor.
