![]() | Canon EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM Pros: versatile, light, sharp enough, price Cons: too short for macro photography with insects or small animals. Opinion: Versatile is the right adjective! Tested with the 80D is a lightweight and very high-performance lens that returns quite faithful colors. It behaves well with small and static objects. Photographing insects or animals becomes difficult because, to make good macros, you would have to get very close to the subject that would probably escape. Perfect for photographing food thanks to the integrated light ring that works at maximum power or 50%. Great for making beautiful portraits and it's great for making movies too! For me a good goal, light and quite useful in various fields. sent on May 31, 2020 |
![]() | Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM Pros: Brightness 2.8 in all openings. Cons: AF sometimes inaccurate. Check for compatibility issues with Canon 80D. Opinion: Great lens for apsc, use it as everything to do and I find it very good. Only one fault, I do not think the AF really looks, but maybe it's just a compatibility problem with my 80D. I've also tested the lens to shoot videos and even in this field it does very well. Purchased on Amazon for around 300 turned cmq a good deal. Recommended. sent on May 02, 2017 |
