Pros: LEICA Q2 REPORTER dark olive green... aesthetically beautiful, handy, fully automatic or fully manual, excellent viewfinder, silent, stabilized, bright optics...

Cons: ... a little love and a little disappointment, nice files but not too much ..

Opinion: Love at first sight, love in the first photos, in short, when you love too much you do not see the limits and with difficulty I began to squeeze the car beyond the limits, a lot, and then slowly return to more canonical parameters but ... gradually. In short, I found limits immediately close to almost normal "" settings. Disappointed by BANDING already present at low sensitivities in shadow areas, from 400 ISO, I did not dare to investigate less. loss of sharpness in areas not even very peripheral ... I question myself... surely it is also mine the defect .?! I AWAIT ANSWERS AND COMMENTS, WITH CAUSE

Pros: A sober shape falls in his hand perfectly, without frills, with unnecessary buttons; intuitive for the essence, a file that reveals a great deal of quantity and quality of information ... color gamut and latitude.rn the naturalness of the handle and after getting confident, in use. Great yield to high ISO and shutter speed sufficient to be able to do almost everything.

Cons: First of all the price ... that confirms the accessibility (purchase) to professional photographers; low energy autonomy; it warms up in the middle low even by programming the LCD to stay on for 10 seconds after use, surely the sensor puts the zampino ... it is always on.

Opinion: I had the opportunity to use it for a day and a half and the approach I had was to imagine my Leica M10 just a little bigger; to increase the responsiveness I experienced by deactivating for some photos the auto focus (very precise in the MF no difficulty in scenes even illumined), not that it is slow to be a mirror but because I prefer to decide where to focus and in some cases setting the field of fire (confusing circle), to capture sudden and unlikely scenes to capture with AF; I found the accuracy of the latter even though with the updated firmware I could not test the various combinations. For the type of photo I do 1/2000 is more than enough ... with the average analog format I go from a max of 1/500 to a max of 1/1000 and that's enough. High ISO yield is great and files are very workable in pp, although in most cases pp is useless. RnThe choice and the solutions adopted for the touch screen arefast and intuitive icons that speed up the process. Use only in high-performance RAW mode and the micro wait times almost no longer occur. Personally, I'm not a problem, but ... I appreciated it very much, after half an hour from taking charge without anyone explaining the operation, the functions and the use of the buttons, I have to say I did not have any difficulty . The two buttons on the top, the left of the shutter button and the two close to the eyeball after a bit of training and "digital" programming (connecting the brain to the fingers) are comfortable and usable without disconnecting the eye from the eyeball. rnDo buy, it was not for the price ... forbidden now to us common mortals. ;-)

Pros: A good diet has been worth not only the feeling but the safety of a great grip, the dynamic range is good, the viewfinder is great and the shot less nervous

Cons: I don't like the ISO dial as it is; I would have done a pressure draw as well as the block... alternatively, round the body as on the right. The quality of the file does not convince me...

Opinion: Everything is related to my old but new Leica M-P 240. The Leica M10 has a good file but in most cases, even without opening too much shadows but also in the half tones has a strange effect; white dots scattered throughout the affected area and a few points that on the TYPE 240 not even the shadow at 3200 without correction, of the primary colors (especially red) very annoying, of which I do not explain the presence on such a decanted machine. I called Leica customer service, very kind and very helpful, who immediately put me in touch with a technical manager; at their request I sent DNG files to examine but the response was a bit disappointing... I didn't pretend they would admit something that doesn't exist but just the evidence since before contacting them I examined the same files with other people and a friend found the same problem on his M10. A machine that I do not recommend to the owners of the Leica M-P TYPE 240. 25 SEPTEMBER 2019 I RESUME THE POST... after long wait with the penultimate firmware update the machine no longer has those annoying points when opening the shadows and with Capture One they squeeze all the RAW information captured by the sensor and well stored. A sensor with high nominal sensitivity, probably between 400 and 800 ISOs; that's probably why they brought the minimum sensitivity to 200 ISOs. Now the machine is at its best in all respects. Having mastery of the medium and being able to focus only on the content..."is priceless"... ;-)))
