tokina_14-20_f2dxTokina AT-X 14-20mm f/2 Pro DX

Pros: Sharpness, brightness, dynamic range, no vignetting and no distortion.

Cons: For the moment nothing.

Opinion: I bought this lens for about three months, to use it on the NIKON D500, and I must say that for the moment it has not disappointed my expectations. I have not encountered problems of distortion, nor problems of vignetting, very rare flares. Solid construction and very bright, great for shooting interiors and landscapes. For the rest you can see the photos I posted, you will surely be able to judge better than me that I consider myself a simple amateur photographer.

nikon_18-300Nikon AF-S DX 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VR

Pros: Great all-rounder, AF fast, true in colors, sharpness

Cons: Nothing.

Opinion: I mounted it on the Nikon D500, replacing the Nikon 18-140. I immediately saw a marked improvement in everything, AF very fast, beautiful colors and better sharpness. It's a bit heavy and expensive (.1,100), but it's a fantastic lens that gives you great shots, it has never failed, even in the night photos. It is a very strong goal, always ready to give you magnificent results, which make you soon forget its weight and its cost!! For a photoamateur, it's an exceptional travel companion, and it allows you not to take other goals with you. If you are not a professional, I highly recommend it.

nikon_afs18-140Nikon AF-S 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR

Pros: Good image quality, fast and quiet autofocus, compact, and metal bayonet!!

Cons: ........ To be a handyman..... nothing

Opinion: I have had it on the Nikon D90, then on the Nikon D7200 and now I use it successfully on the Nikon D500!! It will seem strange but paired with the Nikon D500 is a good pairing to get beautiful photos of panoramas, various ceremonies and portraits. It has a good focal length hike that corresponds to 27-210 FF format, great for when you're on the road. Certainly you can not compare to the infamous lenses with fixed optics, but to be a handyman is a good goal! There are no barrel effects at the small focal point, but I only click in JPEG. I do not like retouching the photo in post production, for me the photo must be born clean without successive modifications, otherwise everyone would be good photographers! Recommended.

nikon_d500Nikon D500

Pros: Robust machine body, burst, image quality , excellent hold at high ISO, very valid for all types of photos!!!!

Cons: Nothing.......

Opinion: I came from a Nikon D90 and then I had a Nikon D7200.......... great cars, but the Nikon D500 is on another planet! I bought this machine as well as for the features it possesses, also for a large and robust body machine, I have big hands and I do not find myself photographing with small Reflexes. When you pick it up, you immediately understand who you're dealing with. It is great for any type of photo, from sports photos, to bird photos, and to ceremonial ones!!! (I do not agree with those who believe that it is reserved only for sports photos, I have made beautiful photos of weddings, and communions) up to 6400 ISO there is no noise!!!! (jpeg format) then you start to see a slight noise but acceptable!! It has a fabulous focus and a gorgeous image quality. The only small flaw is the lack of the built-in Flash.... (sometimes only useful for emergencies) I use it almost always with the Nikon 18- 300 foc. 3,5 / 5,6. Vote 10.
