sony_fe28-70ossSony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS

Pros: Kit optics. Remarkable optical quality with intermediate diaphragms (f8-f11). Good zoom feed ring, in grip and smooth but not too much in scrolling. Flare.

Cons: Feeling of excessive plasticity. Lampshed all too thin and light. Flare.

Opinion: I'm not a professional photographer, but I'm not a rookie either. I have had experience in the past as a photographer and as an assistant in the professional field. This review is therefore based on personal sensations and experiences and as far as I am concerned, it is based on values of optical quality and perceived use, therefore not based on calculations coming from tools. I purchased this lens with an a7 ii as an offer in kits at a price. The great surprise that was in the optical rendering, I repeat, perceived as sharpness, to intermediate diaphragms (f8-f11). I consider it remarkable and unexpected, compared to what I read around. Experience teaches me, however, that from the same perspective, but different matches, there could be qualitative differences. That's not bad in my possession at all. All in all for a handyman's perspective, I think of trips, Sunday trips and any other unprofessional playful activities, it will definitely stay in my kit. I wanted to include the flare both negative and positive aspects, for the simple reason that certainly as far as optical correction is concerned, due to the flare, you see the limits of the project. Flare, however, when used intelligently can add a touch of creativity to our images. My last point is this. The construction quality of the barrel and the lampshed is quite economical with a fairly light wide use of plastic (value for overall objective weight). Nevertheless, the zoom ring gives a good feeling of solidity and the movement is always sweet and fluid, which is not so obvious. In conclusion if you have to buy this new lens in my opinion I would say that at the selling price of the optics outside the kit, you can find better. However, if you have thought of buying a camera with this lens in kits, do it with your eyes closed, or alternatively, by turning to the used market you can find it at hundreds of euros, which for the purposes I have described above you surely you will find yourself well. For all these reasons, I have decided to give a vote of 9 for this objective.

nikon_afs35gNikon AF-S 35mm f/1.8G

Pros: Sharpness, af speed, low noise, light weight, the presence of the hood.

Cons: Nobody.

Opinion: I put no defect because, even if the material used for the construction of the barrel, it may seem poor as plasticky-looking, people like me who comes from the "old analog photography" will find peace on the use of new materials plastici.rnPremesso I find this superlative this perspective for the use of all kinds. I find it very suitable for the environmental portrait and not thanks to the great focal openness that makes it a really nice bokeh. In addition I believe that 35 mm return a much more similar view to the one we perceive with both occhi.rnConcludendo definitely recommend this respect.

canon_40Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM

Pros: Compactness, optical quality, light weight, focal length lies between a moderate wide-angle and normal. Very sharp already wide open. Boken pleasant. Quick and silent in focus.

Cons: It could be a little brighter.

Opinion: Optics that is inserted between two fixed lenses Canon EF 28/2, 8 and 50/1, 8. Its focal moderately normal-granda does appreciate in my view as goal-rounder for normal use or for street photography but also for photography in natural environment. Not to be underestimated in my opinion the city for use in optics, at least on mine, low distortion perspective. A lens that saw the price and what it offers should become part of the outfit of every user, preferably FF to take advantage of native 40 mm but also for users APS-C that little can have an optical near-normal.
