Paolo Del Frate was born in Priverno (Italy) in 1975.
Having perceived a strong artistic sensibility of Paolo's games, his older sister, in 1987, when he was only 12, decided to apply her brother to a photographer class where, at the end of it, he became the teacher's assistant and then of other photographers. These experiences helped him to improve the photographic technique and to mature knowledge in the dark room in developing films and Black and White printing.
In the following years he experimented different genres of photography that will bring him to outline his personal vision of photography in an increasingly clear way towards nude photography where the subjects are often placed on a context of bucolic and ancient taste.
The choice of the locations where he decided to set his photos is strongly characterized from sentimental values, which belong to his history, his family or various experiences built along his life.
His photographic production in entirely realized in ambience light.
Paolo, talking about his photos says: “Not a sterile Eroticism. My photos are the concretization of my thoughts, the commemoration of my memories, the evasion from this world plenty of impurities.”
He has a totally personal and intimate approach for nude photography, both from the stylistic point of view and purely technical, far away from classic styles of erotic photography, he goes forward on his aesthetic research with strictness that makes his shots recognizable at the first look.
He boasts a vast production, unmistakable and original at the same time, far away from those cliché that are often used too much this photography genre.
