![]() | Leica Q2 Pros: unparalleled construction quality, image quality and chromatic fidelity, aesthetics, summilux lens Cons: Missing double SD slot Opinion: No-frills machine, a bit like all Leica, built and cared for in every detail and not comparable to machines from other brands. Starting from the look for me beautiful up to any key and ring that returns a different feeling from that of other cameras. It is born for those who want to shoot with a lens only without too many distractions and too many functions, few rings, a few keys and greater concentration on the shot that goes "sweaty" and that when it is right returns you a file that leaves you speechless. I decided to take it after a path for me started with the micro 4/3 format and passed for a sony a7III where I used almost exclusively a fixed lens that was cold, without a soul, with certainly excellent rows but that sometimes left me perplexed by the colors. With the Leica inquadri (with an excellent OLED viewfinder) and you see the reality.. sent on October 26, 2020 |
![]() | Ricoh GR III Pros: "The best camera is the one you have with you", value for money, display, black and white, snap focus mode, leaf shutter, IQ Cons: Battery that lasts little, heats up easily, sensor that gets dirty easily despite the internal cleaning function Opinion: Stealth-looking camera that turns out to be deadly for that instant and somewhat "aggressive" street photography that you couldn't do with other cameras. In fact, because of its compactness and slyness it turns out to be really invisible and allows you to capture a shot in all those occasional outings where you would never think to bring your equipment. The compactness does not affect the quality of the lens and sensor that allow you to take home very good shots and malleable definitely superior to all other cameras of this type. the strong point is the spontaneity and immediacy with which it is used, in fact it lends itself a lot to the shot in JPEG (both in a very good black and white and color with the POSITIVE filter) and to use in automation as a diaphragm priority with manual fire by setting the snap focus mode that allows you to easily set a distance from the subject; less to use completely in manual and autofocus, however usable. In short, for those who do not know it turns out to be a surprising camera for the use for which it has been studied. Like all cameras it is not free of defects (dust on the sensor, battery that lasts little, overheats with nothing) but the perfect camera does not exist. sent on August 05, 2020 |
![]() | Tamron 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 Pros: Sharpness, lightness Cons: Distortion, AF, graft, f2.8 only Opinion: I've had this lens for a few days. I had long been looking for a fixed wide angle of good quality that did not cost a disproportionate. In the end I opted for this 20mm preferring it to the 20mm sigma (more expensive and heavy) and the 18mm samyang. The first impressions in hot are good. Good sharpness already at full opening, suffers a lot of distortion that can be corrected when shooting in the car or during post. The thing that left me a little more puzzled is the AF, which for the time being has proved to be quite a dancer; on the construction side the graft is not quite as fluid as other lenses I own. In short it is a good light and sharp lens for the price it costs. I recommend it to those like me who are looking for a fixed wide angle that can be used in certain circumstances. A pure landscaper, in my opinion, must focus on other prices and other services. sent on February 19, 2020 |
![]() | Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Sharpness, construction, brightness, value for money, MF mechanical ring Cons: Generous dimensions that do not go unnoticed Opinion: Purchased as the first and only lens to be joined to Sony A7III for general use, from landscape to portrait to reportage where is a focal length among the most used. In recent months I have appreciated the solid construction that has resisted well in situations quite adverse despite not being tropicalized; Neck flow all day did not bother me particularly, though, being a very focal length used in reportage and street photography, it is certainly not discreet because of its size. Fortunately on mirrorless does not suffer from front back focus problems and is able to return files of an exceptional sharpness already at Open diaphragms, especially with subjects not too far away. To appreciate the mechanical ring with the end stroke for manual focus. Excellent value for money, I would repeat the purchase as a main lens to use. sent on May 12, 2019 |
![]() | Sony A7 III Pros: Versatility, RAW files products, AF, battery life, dual SD slots, stabilizing Cons: Viewfinder not great Opinion: From amateur photographer I decided a few months ago to make the leap from the PUR excellent micro 4/3 to FF, driven by the desire for greater machinability of the file. It was the time when many competing companies announced their entry into the mirrorless FF World (Nikon, Canon etc). For the many features present in this body, and in small part absent in the new competitors, I decided for this purchase. CMQ machine Body Relatively compact, excellent files, fast and accurate AF at 693 points, eye AF, Optical Park finally wide and not necessarily too expensive (see Sigma, Samyang etc.), double SD slot that cmq gives more security, battery that lasts, Stabilization on the sensor (not comparable to the micro 4/3 but cmq effective), small neo is the viewfinder not too resolute, but nothing dramatic. During these months I also used it for a trip to India coupled with a 35mm Sigma ART and it kept very well to dirt and dust and held around the neck all day did not bother me. In short I am very satisfied with the passage and if even now I had to take a FF camera body starting from scratch I would go back on her (at the expense of Panasonic). sent on April 29, 2019 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko ED 17mm f/1.2 Pro Pros: Robustness, sharpness even at TA, general quality Cons: Nobody Opinion: I decided to take this lens to have a fixed of great quality that I can use in the genres I prefer (travel reportage, street and some portraits) despite the focal (35mm equivalent) was already covered by the 12-40 Pro in my possession. Despite the limits of use under certain circumstances of a fixed lens compared to a zoom, from the moment of purchase I have not removed from the camera body for all the advantages that I return in terms of sharpness, blurred etc.. Robust lens, coupled with pro bodies (but why not even with more compact bodies) The ergonomics are perfect, very comfortable the ring that with a click allows you to switch from AF to MF. Used in photographic genres that I prefer returns excellent sharpness files even to TA where you get a nice and easily manageable blurry (both in AF and in MF). It allows me to photograph in low light not exceeding the 800-1000 ISO thus obtaining cleaner images (albeit with less PDC using F 1.2). In short, for those who love this focal length and look for a fixed to use in many areas, definitely recommend the purchase. It made me set aside the excellent 12-40 Pro. sent on September 15, 2018 |
