![]() | Nikon D3s Pros: Solidity, ergonomics, ISO sealing, tropicalization, efficiency, reliability, battery life, completeness of functions Cons: Weight, footprint, display, closes the shadows a bit, lacks eye focus, 12 Mp, live view, video Opinion: Writing in 2020 a small opinion on a machine body that saw birth in 2009 is ungenerous. On the other hand, it must be said that despite the numerous moons that have marked the life of this model, its performance is completely current and they do not have much to envy to the most powerful and current offers of the market (as far as I am concerned only the eye focus function, which is not indispensable). The body weighs but is of an impressive solidity. The lenses would weigh anyway, so it's not a real limit. The clutter, compared to an ML is sensitive, but thanks to the generous size of the machine body it is easily held and without creating fatigue for the hand, especially for those, like me, who use very little shoulder strap. Fingers are always relaxed and do not feel fatigue. The controls are at your fingertips. Hardly there is a need to enter the menus to set the machine. All very fast and clear. Excellent ISO sealing and with new noise processing programs, it's even mind-blowing. Great predictive pursuit and more than good the speed of the burst. The image quality, despite the 12 Mp is excellent, even in case of decisive cuts (I have never printed large formats like A1). It tends to close the shadows, but when you know it, you handle it without any problems. A lady who despite her age still has a lot to say and does not yet suffer the passage of time. Not suitable for those who are attracted by the lightness and reduced size of modern machine bodies, perfect for those who want a camera of great substance, who is not afraid of anything and for those looking for a used with an unsurpassed price value. sent on August 22, 2020 |
