![]() | Canon EF 85mm f/1.4 L IS USM Pros: Stabilizer and lens quality Cons: Maybe a little too "cold", but is it a defect? Opinion: I have recently purchased the latest Canon proposal for portraits. I came to the choice of this solution because I'm tired of the shots lost with the 85 1.2 II and to have a more interesting view even on the slope drlle video performance. Needless to reiterate what is already known about the creative magic of 1.2 and its limits, but I confess that I have willingly removed the Canon glass for this new product, which in my opinion has great potential. The stabilizer was also excellent for photos in low light environments. Creamy bokeh very close to that of 1.2. At the moment I also own the 85mm art of Sigma that I have not compared with the Canon. The impression is petò that Sigma has something more on the lens side, an ability to return the warmer tones and nuances in a more "emotional" way. Canon, for its part, seems to me more "surgical", detached. Requires more "handle " to capture engaging shots. I do not go into technical aspects that are widely tested by well-known and far more qualified than me reviewers (ac, resolution, etc.). Construction similar to that of other lenses of recent Canon production, such as. that of the 24-70 2.8 II that I possess. Solid, pleasant to the touch, with attention to details. sent on March 09, 2018 |
