![]() | OM System Tough TG-7 Pros: Robustness - Lightness and versatility Cons: Price - Unprotected lens - No Manual shutter release Opinion: After some tests in the field I can say that apart from the really excessive price it is a nice compact for a person without very high expectations. Another bad thing is the basic equipment: apart from the camera, a cheap lanyard, a battery and the charging cable there is nothing else. An elementary thing to add in the basic kit would be the lens cap (as an accessory thing about 50 euros the original). In the field, if it is used in shooting mode A (aperture priority), for example at the minimum focal length equivalent to 25mm, the selectable aperture is only F2.0, to have a more "closed" aperture you have to increase the focal length until you have F18 at a focal length equivalent to 100mm. Unfortunately, there is no M shooting mode. Good 4X optical zoom, at the equivalent of 100mm, the detail holds up well. The RAW files (ORF. for olympus) are not bad, if you post produced in Lightroom something nice you can process. After trying it in underwater mode I was very happy, beautiful colors and always a nice detail. The Macro mode is very nice and precise. sent on April 18, 2024 |
