![]() | Panasonic GH5 II Pros: Robustness, ergonomics, micro 4/3 sensor quality, professional-grade video functions, fast and accurate autofocus Cons: Almost none, perhaps the weight and dimensions worthy of a reflex Opinion: I have owned this fantastic machine for about a year, taken to support my drones in the production of digital content that my customers use to improve their online image. What can I say? I use it far below its potential, that's for sure, and the results are far above my expectations. The strengths are certainly the respectable video part, you can easily shoot a film with it. The photographic part also doesn't make me regret the reflex cameras I've had in the past. However, watch out for high iso, because being a small sensor, the micro four thirds suffers a lot from low brightness. I recommend pairing it with bright, quality optics. sent on November 13, 2023 |
![]() | Apple iPhone 8 Plus Pros: Speed, camera, software Cons: Weight, portrait mode not always at the top Opinion: I bought this beautiful smartphone about two weeks ago. As a hobby I deal with photography, so I thought that, since I have always been fond of apple devices, the iphone 8 plus was the worthy successor of the previous 6. The expectations were not disappointed at all: I tested it thoroughly in situations more extreme and especially at night has always given the maximum that a sensor as big as a pinhead can give, perhaps also thanks to the excellent software implementation given by iOS. Obviously it replaces the compact brand, NOT the SLR as many of the most enthusiastic fans claim (I have a stunning Nikon d7200 with 16-85 Nikon). The portrait mode so much praised requires a certain ability in the management of light, otherwise you risk a cut too sharp between subject and background. The bokeh effect is adequate but not to be shouted at the miracle. The weight of the smartphone, also thanks to the generous dimensions, is evident but not to jeopardize its use. sent on December 20, 2017 |
