Prima volta in Italia per una grande mostra retrospettiva monografica di Rodney Smith (1947-2016), con oltre cento opere del fotografo newyorkese.
Immagini dall'estetica inconfondibile, elegante e surreale, spesso paragonate all'opera di René Magritte, con chiari riferimenti anche all'arte cinematografica.
Allievo di Walker Evans, influenzato da Ansel Adams ed ispirato dall'opera di Margaret Bourke-White, Henri Cartier-Bresson e William Eugene Smith, le sue fotografie sono state pubblicate in numerose riviste e pubblicazioni internazionali. Famose molte sue opere in bianco e nero, che combinano con maestria, e a volte anche ironia, ritratto e paesaggio.
