At Bud Spencer !!!
Bravissimo will resume in the right moment!
... I just read your old topic sull'indecisione between d700 and d600, I must say that these 3200 iso d600 not seem to ISO 3200; taking into account that they are 24 mpx, and that is a cut above all !!!
Better to abandon the d700 ... unfortunately! ... Am I wrong?!?
But with all points in the middle you're used to with difficulty, as you are? ...

a greeting,
Stefano

Hello Stephen.
Thank you very much the comments pisitivo clicks.
Regarding the d600, after a year of use, I can tell you to be more than satisfied.
In my opinion, the d700 is an excellent machine, in some respects superior to d600, but used it is estimated overstatement.
The only limit my use of the d600 is precisely the area af very concentrated at the center. The af Peró works well with very little light.
Today perhaps the d750 is the best choice, but it costs more.
What do you use?

I started five years ago with the D3000 + 18-105, now two and a half years I have the Nikon D300S with 20 + 24-70 + 50 + 60 + macro af-s 80-200. I wanted to pass fx, and indecision fell between d700 and D610; to be honest indecision there would be if I had the budget, I would choose the d750!
I do not question the af central D610 (God forbid that the central wouldnt be), I question only the coverage of the points on the frame. I make use predominantly macro and move the point to not recompose (very rarely use the live wiev or manual focus), the same photographer when my son, I predict a frame according to its movements and move the point already; then I recomposed not, unless they are photos from "ceremony" to be put posing!
My other big fear is to acquire another body vecchiottoas the D300S and not to have the cleaning at high ISO; but I do not think that in 6400 (3200 look like you think) is so bad the d700 (maybe just a little)
The advantage in my opinion it is the 24 megapixel resolution and cropping does not suffer ...
To summarize my doubt is only tied to 39 points, instead of the 51 d700 (and D300S, which are virtually ALL the frame of that!) I would try one schok to see inside the viewfinder of the D610, you say?

I think yes, but it's not so bad, so I think they are not as bad high iso of d700.
I saw that you have a park optical respectable and that you are in Treviso. If you want I'll show you the d600. ;-)

I would have tried both the d700 the d750, only for a few minutes; the d700's got my uncle, and the d750 I tried it in the local store in Treviso. Use them only for 10 minutes will create confusion, does not make you understand, I do not say the limits, but the layout of controls, ergonomics, the different shooting situations (then behave as these points af) ...
The big improvement in my opinion between the two is not that one gets to iso higher; come to the same iso, but gives you a file to iso 3200 to 12mpx, the other gives it to you in 3200 iso but 24 mpx (is double, not jokes !!!) ...
Gladly would try your d600, I am 5 km from the center of Treviso, but you are in Venice where exactly?

Nice catch! The guard "low" has left space for a powerful and effective shot.
Good timing. Bravo.
