I Giardini si presentano oggi come uno stretto connubio tra antico e moderno, un dialogo virtuoso tra insediamenti archeologici e opere contemporanee, il tutto incorniciato in una visione all' infinito: con le grotte seicentesche, la Fontana dell'Ercole, i resti del Tempio di Diana e la rinata Peschiera Grande, il Gran Parterre, le Allee, il Giardino a Fiori e delle Rose, non ha riscontri analoghi fra i giardini storici italiani per la magnificenza delle prospettive e la vastità del panorama naturale circondato dai boschi del Parco La Mandria e dalla catena montuosa delle Alpi.
