I mean '3 exposures. But then the data are reported which frame? the middle one? Nice, although cmq post I opened a little 'shadows.

Alvise hello, thanks for the ride! :-) Yes, the data are those of the central I used to all the photos except the shield, for which I used the underexposed photo. the other I have used. I focused all for the shield, it is in full sun, but in spite of everything you can see the shape callous and small bumps that arise. on the left side, near the eye, but there is also a drop in this resolution in sight just.

for the shadows ... it's the second picture I happen to notice where post this ... in fact in a bit closed from office monitor the well-known, too, from the house where I prepare the photos are not. I start to think it's the monitor "official" home to be set brightness a bit too high :-/

grazie Sarah!

thanks Sarah! :-) The fact is that the good old 1200 pixels on the long side, usually more than enough, not enough time to bring out the specific details of the shield so I tried again and again until you get something good in ... version at 4200 pixels you can see very well the structure of "depressed" and the color with shades of pink that I had not seen since the hundreds of photos of coots that I have that part of the shield is always hopelessly white enough ;-)

Bravo;-)

Also good for me, the detail is legible on blacks and whites equally well exposed. Congratulations on technique and the result. Bravo ;-)

Thanks also to Tore and Bern :-)

you could get there even with a simple layer mask

eh ..... I've got tried a lot of other photos taken at or coots but came out too loud plumage catching the shadows in post or otherwise shield was not rosy at the right point shooting with normal exposure, however, was with whites fired and could not recover enough detail :-/ I needed then the animal was practically in the same position to make a proper fusion, I tried with the bracketing of curiosity and came out just what I needed :-)
