Il Senegal è un paese ricco, ricchissimo di pesce quindi la popolazione cerca di sfruttare al meglio questa sua risorsa. Essendo però una popolazione abbastanza povera, i metodi di conservazione sono antichi. Qui si può vedere del pesce lasciato essiccare (potete immaginare le mosche che ronzavano attorno), con il particolare suolo...questa è l'isola di Fadiouth, non a caso chiamata "l'isola delle conchiglie"
