In essa sorgono la chiesa parrocchiale, i negozi e l'ufficio postale. Un tempo vi si trovavano le scuole e il municipio; prima del 1804 (anno della costruzione della strada napoleonica del Moncenisio) numerose locande, taverne e alberghi la animavano (alcuni cronisti ne contavano addirittura 75 negli appena 300 metri della via). Il termine Vlò indica sia il capoluogo con la sua complessa struttura urbanistica fatta di vicoli e piazze, sia la Via Maestra, la via principale del borgo.
