L'elegante chiostro quadrato, situato a sud della chiesa abbaziale, è caratterizzato dal colore rosso cupo scandito da colonne di marmo bianco. Vi si affacciavano gli edifici dei monaci capitolari e dei conversi: la sala capitolare coperta da volte a crociera, la cosiddetta "sala calda" per i lavori invernali, i refettori e i dormitori ai piani superiori (questi non visitabili). Dal chiostro inoltre si accedeva anche all'orto, al cimitero, all'ospedale, alla biblioteca
